All digital SLR cameras will eventually need to have the sensor cleaned. If you never take the lens off the camera, dust still works its way onto the sensor unit. No matter how hard you protect your camera from dust, it is an issue even with the professional cameras. I can clean your camera’s sensor […]
This problem is common with the SLR cameras that use compact flash memory cards. If the pins get bent or broken then the camera cannot read the memory card, thus the camera is unusable. I can repair your camera. I disassemble the camera and replace the damaged cf pins. This repair includes cleaning the camera […]
If the shutter fails, then it will need to be replaced. I can replace the shutter unit in your camera. I have most shutter units on hand and can turn the repair around in a couple of days. If I have to order it, this usually takes a couple of days to receive it from […]
If the rear display (LCD) window is scratched or cracked, I can replace it. This repair requires the rear panel to be removed so that the lcd window can be removed and replaced. This repair can be done in a day or two and includes cleaning the camera and sensor.
Has your lens sustained impact damage, is the zoom sticking or stiff? Does your lens need cleaning due to internal dust or fungus? Is the lens mount broken? I can repair or clean your lens. Most lenses can be reasonably repaired.
If the flash shoe on your Canon or Nikon flash unit is cracked or broken, I can replace it.

This lens had a jammed zoom mechanism. I disassembled this lens as pictured and found loose screws behind the focus mechanism. I secured the loose screws and now the zoom works as it should.
This camera came in with a very dirty sensor. It was left outside overnight in damp weather with out a lens mounted on the camera. The camera worked but the sensor was covered in dried water spots and dirt, thus affecting picture quality. I felt the best approach to this cleaning was to disassemble the camera […]
This lens came in for repair with an aperture mechanism that would intermittently stick in the f2.8 position causing overexposed pictures. I disassembled it and removed the aperture blades and applied dry lubricant. It works like a charm.
I have just completed the replacement of the plastic lens mount on this lens. This and other entry level Nikon lenses have plastic lens mounts and are succeptible to breaking due to impact damage. This is easily and affordably replaceable.
Just completed a CF pin replacement. The process took approximately an hour to complete. Typically, this repair can be turned around in a day or two and the price varies depending on the severity of damage to the pins. It should be noted that the Canon Rebel XT is notorious for this problem due to […]
This is a time-lapse of a repair of a client’s D300s. Her Compact Flash card pin was bent to the extent that it needed to be replaced. The editing on this video was done in under 5 minutes so the quality is pretty low, but it is fun to watch. The repair was successful. A […]
