Common Nikon lens mount repair
I have just completed the replacement of the plastic lens mount on this lens. This and other entry level Nikon lenses have plastic lens mounts and are succeptible to breaking due to impact damage. This is easily and affordably replaceable.
I preformed the same repair, but during the repair the thin black wire was broken. Am I screwed?

Your lens will still work, this is a ground wire. It is probably a good idea to have it reattached though.

i´ve the same lenses and the same issue..that plastic part just has broken. How can i get a new one? there´s some place i could buy it?
